Bryon Russell is an accomplished architect and developer with nearly 30 years of experience in New York, specializing in real estate, land use, architecture, construction and design technology, research, and professional instruction. Educated at Columbia University, he holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Architecture. Mr. Russell has held faculty positions and has a strong background in both academic and professional settings.
Mr. Russell began his career as a site superintendent for Bovis Lend Lease, contributing to major projects such as the 2 Columbus condominium tower and the renovation of the St. Moritz Hotel into the Ritz Carlton. His design work at HOK included significant projects like the Penn Station masterplan and the University Medical Center Princeton. For the past twelve years, he has been the managing principal of Syndicate Development, Architecture, & Planning, overseeing innovative projects such as 329 Broadway in Brooklyn and 80 Ainslie, the first Cross Laminated Timber and Passive House designed structure in New York City.
Clients can expect expert advice and services in land use and planning, construction, architecture, design, business consulting, site utilization, owner’s representative services, project management, code and zoning, and design and construction technology. Mr. Russell's current focus includes a substantial portfolio of low-income housing projects in the Bronx, totaling over half a million square feet and 500 units of family housing, with ongoing additions and project completions.
